Throughout my academic career at Southern New Hampshire University, I have gained the tools necessary to enhance performance in the workplace. In understanding developmental theories, a holistic perspective, and improving leadership skills, I can effectively engage with and encourage a team while concurrently motivating myself to continue in my personal and professional development. Enhancement of my emotional intelligence and a deeper understanding of the need for social justice has instilled a desire for me to ensure and promote an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout my career, cementing my foundation with a culturally competent professional mindset. In becoming an advocate for social change, I have learned to not only to accept change, but to embrace it and welcome the challenges it brings, knowing that I will learn and grow throughout the experience.
